An opportunity exists for a proven restaurant professional with the ability to maintain our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Lizard's Thicket is searching for an energetic, personable & process-driven person to take on the position of Catering Sales Representative. This individual will be ultimately responsible for the booking of drop-off and catering services for the company. This is a full-time position that requires both AM/PM availability. Additionally, some weekend, evening & holiday availability will be required as well.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and walk-ins in a timely, professional, and polite manner 
  • Gather and input important customer data in order to plan appropriately 
  • Create and prepare catering quotes for potential customers ensuring that all likely additional costs relating to the event have been assessed accurately and communicated 
  • Book catering events within parameters set by the General Manager and owners of Lizard's Thicket 
  • Maximize revenue by upselling products and services 
  • Collect customer payments 
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and create trusting relationships with customers 
  • Work closely and effectively with the General Manager and catering team to ensure the best possible outcome for the customer 
  • Reach and exceed catering sales/booking goals by going out into the community and making phone calls to bring in new business 
  • Responsibilities may include participating in catering events or deliveries as well as helping with food preparation 
  • This job description is not exhaustive and the role necessitates flexibility to take on other responsibilities which are at the discretion of the General Manager 



  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Highly motivated, goal-driven & self-starter personality 
  • Polished interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly 
  • Knowledgeable in basic computer skills 
  • Background in sales is greatly preferred
